FEZ "Vitebsk" and Shandong Province Expand Investment Cooperation

On May 13, 2026, the event "Trade and Economic Cooperation between Shandong Province (PRC) and the Republic of Belarus" was held at the Zhurzhevsky Business Center of the Vitebsk FEZ.

The event was organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce.

Co-organizers were the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee and the  Administration of FEZ "Vitebsk".

The official delegation from China was led by Mr. Zhang Qingwei, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce. Representatives of the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, the Administrative Committee of the China-SCO Pilot Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, Chinese companies, and enterprises from the Vitebsk Region attended the meeting.

Dmitry Novatsky, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, delivered a welcoming speech.

As part of this large-scale event, Mikhail Skurat, Head of the Administration of FEZ "Vitebsk", presented a presentation to guests from Shandong Province, titled "FEZ "Vtiebsk": Investment Opportunities and Advantages for locating Chinese manufacturing".

Zhang Qingwei, in turn, noted the high level of cooperation between the regions. Zhang Yinya, Deputy Head of the Regional Cooperation Department of the SCO Demonstration Zone, also delivered a report during the meeting, while leading Chinese companies presented key platforms for strengthening business ties, sharing advanced technologies, and developing joint projects.

The event culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Administration of FEZ "Vitebsk" and the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce.

A key event of the meeting was the opening of the Vitebsk FEZ Representative Office in Shandong Province. The corresponding document was signed during the event.

The event concluded with a series of B2B negotiations between leading companies from the Vitebsk region and organizations from Shandong Province, including on financing the construction of production modules within the FEZ "Vitebsk". Investment proposals were submitted to the Chinese side by the Administration of FEZ "Vitebsk".

Events of this high level serve as an effective tool for establishing direct business ties with Chinese partners.
