The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus Visited FEZ "Vitebsk"

On July 10, 2025, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus H.E. Mr. Ashok Kumar paid a working visit to the Free Economic Zone "Vitebsk" to learn about its investment potential and develop bilateral cooperation.

The meeting, which was held in the format of an open dialogue, brought together representatives of the Administration of FEZ "Vitebsk", headed by Mikhail Skurat, Head of Administration, as well as FEZ resident companies.

Mikhail Skurat presented the investment opportunities of the free economic zone, as well as the production potential of the FEZ resident companies. He paid particular attentionto the benefits and preferences available to investors in FEZ "Vitebsk", as well as the advantages of residency and doing business in the Vitebsk region.

During the meeting, the residents of the FEZ "Gidropress", "Belkarolin" and "KimaBel" also held separate discussions with the Ambassador on cooperation issues and exchanged ideas on potential joint projects, in terms of localizing their production in India, which will subsequently allow them to develop the Indian market and increase the export of Belarusian products. Mr. Ashok Kumar expressed his readiness to provide comprehensive support in establishing cooperation and developing business ties between Indian investors and the Free Economic Zone "Vitebsk". An agreement was reached to continue contacts with the Embassy of India in the Republic of Belarus, expand sales markets for products of Belarusian manufacturers, and hold a joint webinar with the residents of the FEZ in August of this year. At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts, which symbolizes the strengthening of friendly relations, the desire for fruitful cooperation and the opening of new opportunities for investment between Belarus and India.
