FEZ «Vitebsk» Concludes the Year 2020

On February 19, 2021, a meeting was held in «Zhurzhevskiy» business center with the executives of the FEZ “Vitebsk” resident companies in order review their economic activity throughout 2020 and the prospects for development in 2021.

The meeting was attended by Veronika Zabolueva, Head of Economics Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee; Konstantin Chorny, 1st Deputy Head of Economics Committee, as well as heads of city and regional executive committees and district administrations.

The meeting was also attended by an honorary guest – Yury Zolotaryov, Trade Commissioner of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus – who addressed the FEZ residents with an offer of mutually beneficial cooperation in various matters.

Mikhail Skurat, Head of Administration, presented a report on the residents achieving key indicators of economic efficiency in 2020, main goals for 2021 including the plans to develop the engineering and logistical infrastructure of Sector 1 “Zhurzhevo”. The report also contained a comparative analysis of economic indicators of all the free economic zones in the Republic of Belarus.

The meeting offered an opportunity for a number of the Administration partners to present their services, such as Irina Makarenko, Director of Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center; Vladimir Turavinov, Head of Vitebsk Regional Employer Union; as well as representatives of Vitebsk office of Belagroprombank, Vitebsk branch of Belneftestrakh, and Zakoltsovo-lunch.

An award ceremony was held for several residents for achieving the best economic results in 2020.

The “Best FEZ “Vitebsk” Resident of 2020” award went to Vityas JSC.

The company managed to achieve the following rates of growth: production capacity – 173.3%, export of goods – 246% with trade surplus, wages – 127.2%. During the pandemic, the number of workers grew to 104.8%. The income from the sale of the products grew to 198.5%. The net income grew almost 3 times compared to 2019. They shipped 80.7 mln BYN worth of innovative product (the growth rate is 275.2%).

The winner was awarded with the appropriate certificate, received the FEZ “Vitebsk” banner and a certificate that allows to receive education in one of the IPM Business School programs.

The “Best Manufacturer of 2020” awards went to Natrix JLLC and Polotsk Forestry, the “Best Exporter of Goods of 2020” – to Polymerconstruction UE, the “Best Exporter of Services of 2020” – to Decora East FUE, the “Best Investor of 2020” – to Cylinders-Bel LLC, and the “Best Financial Result of 2020” – to PA “Energocomplekt” LLC.

The meeting also allowed to sign the Agreement on the establishment of a woodworking cluster of the Free Economic Zone “Vitebsk”.
